2011 Nissan Rogue

Cambridge NissanNissan’s Rogue crossover SUV receives a refreshed exterior and interior, along additional technology and convenience features. Two models—Rogue S and Rogue SV—are joined by a special Rogue S Krom Edition. Rogue S Krom adds sport styling, 18-inch wheels and a center-exit, sport-tuned exhaust system.

Among the redesigned exterior features are a new fascia and grille, front and rear spoilers, chrome side-door guard moldings and a chrome license plate finisher. The Rogue has always looked different from its two main rivals in the compact SUV segment. On the SL package the Rogue rides on 17-inch wheels with low-rolling-resistance tires. Available Xenon headlights, power moonroof, roof rails and detachable crossbars, chrome door handles and body-color bumpers round out the exterior. Heated mirrors are optional.

Interior features include available leather seats, a six-way, power driver’s seat, heated front seats and a fold-down front passenger seat, which allows more than 8.5 feet of cargo space front to back. The rear seat is a 60/40 split bench and there’s 58-cubic-feet of cargo space. There are a variety of cupholders and places to store such things as sunglasses and cell phone.

Navigation, rear view monitor, Bluetooth hands-free phone, satellite radio, premium audio, auxiliary input and MP3 playback are all available. The standard drive computer provides distance-to-empty, average fuel consumption, average speed, elapsed time and outside temperature.

The Rogue is powered by a 2.5-liter, inline four-cylinder engine producing 170 horsepower. Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission is standard. It features adaptive shifting to enhance operation depending on driving conditions. All Rogue models are available in front- and all-wheel drive. Stability and traction control are standard on all models. The Rogue is rated at 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway for two-wheel drive models and 22 city/26 highway for all-wheel drive models.

Standard on all Rogue models are four-wheel, anti-lock disc brakes with brake force distribution and brake assist. Front, side and roof-mounted side curtain airbags are standard. Rogue is equipped with two LATCH points for child safety seats.
